Learning by Doing

Getting the students involved in practical activities that teach hem various learning aspects by ‘Doing’ rather than using formal education. Practical Learning helps you to learn the things effectively. Practical Learning leads to much understanding of the things through doing and experience. There is a lot of difference between theoretical learning and practical learning. Theoretical learning gives you the basic understanding of the concept. It tells us ‘why’ and practical learning tells us ‘how’. For example, if you try to drive a plane you would spend whole life to learn this theoretical learning but not won’t be able to drive without practical learning, practical knowledge is must. Another difference between theoretical learning and practical learning is, theoretical learning teaches you through practical experience of others whereas in practical learning you learn through practical experience. Practical learning has many advantages like

  1. Knowledge retains in our mind
  2. Develops a better Understanding
  3. Improves skills
  4. Involves application and deals with real life situations
  5. It is more interesting
  6. Interesting => Easy
  7. It motivates team work
  8. Interactive Education creates a Deeper Impact

There was a time when a notebook and a pencil were sufficient tools for study in a classroom. In today’s world, students need much more to prepare themselves for the job market. The thing that has not changed is the impact a teacher can have on the life and learning of a student. The students play no active role in attainment of knowledge. Things are loaded on his mind which he cannot digest; he only crams and therefore they never become his own. Practical knowledge has more impact on students than the theoretical knowledge.
